Too early in the process for a rave review or a negative review. Still trying to see if i like convection, at this point not a huge fan.

I had to replace my former 27” double oven after 28 years. The new one has nice added features and I have found easy to adjust to. Hope it lasts even half as long as it’s former self.

I purchased this double wall oven less than 6 months ago. It replaced a 28 year old double oven that worked great but was looking a bit shabby. This oven looks beautiful but doesn't work properly. I now do not use this oven very much because it steams my food instead of baking or roasting it. It cooks very unevenly. I have ruined tried and true recipes. The temperature on the panel never matches the thermometer that I purchased to test it. The control panel is always shutting off or putting the wrong temp on. It is not worth the trouble and frustration (plus all the food that I've wasted). I finally bought a counter top Wolf convection oven and we use that and now get our Thanksgiving turkey already cooked. I wish that I had read these reviews before this purchase. I have a kitchen full of 20 plus year old Kitchen Aid appliances that I love but this model is a huge clunker! It has been nothing but trouble. The glass door looks horrible after less than ten uses. Water drips and burn marks. Whoever designed this has never cooked anything!!! Question? What's up with the single heating elements only on the top?? My old oven heated up on top for broiling and bottom for baking. JUNK. I was a loyal Kitchen Aid fan...not anymore.

Dangerous sharp edges around inside door edges

by: Dangerous Defect

Long time Kitchenaid customer shopping to replace 25 year old double gas oven. First choice would be the Kitchenaid Oven however there is a dangerous defect on all models. The stainless steel façade on the doors wrap around the door edge but leaving a razor sharp and dangerous edge. All other manufacturers either bend the inside edge or flatten edge to remove the sharpness. Even the parent company properly files down the edge. It surprised me that the premium Kitchenaid would cut costs by leaving a sharp dangerous edge that endangers the customers. It also reflects poorly that such a crude finish would be used when all other brands - low and high end do a much nicer job. I would purchase this oven if Kitchenaid would address this defect. I am considering reporting it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission depending on Kitchenaid response.
