The ventless dryer stopped working after 4 times. The repairmen determined there was a faulty LF switch that he had to buy and return again to install.

Great dryer with maintenance issues

This is one of the few ventless dryers made in the USA and has excellent features and tech. Unfortunately, the condenser clogs with lint no matter what the user does. Several reviews before mention this. Once the condenser is clogged with lint the efficiency of the dryer goes downhill and the time it takes to dry a load goes way up. The only solution so far has been to call a service tech and partially disassemble the dryer to clean the condenser. It takes about an hour to clean the filter. I've had to do this about every 9 months. Between cleanouts, I assume the dryer is less and less efficient. It takes longer to finish similar loads as the lint builds up. I hope Whirlpool comes up with a field fix such as an additional lint filter after the pull out filter. Even a smaller mesh on the three filter panes shown would stop more lint from collecting on the condenser.

I got the whirlpool ventless 14 months ago, worked great first year. Waiting an hour and half to dry towels, no problem, but then start taking 5 hours to dry only one queen set sheets, only thing in the dryer. Other clothes as well took 4 and 5 hours, never dried. Called repair man, he said a lot of lint inside dryer interior where my vacuum could not reach. I cleaned both lint filters after every load, that was fine , trying to prolong the life of the dryer. I am so very disappointed, that this seems to be a big problem in the dryer design that causes the dryer to stop working. Because the reliability of dryer not lasting more than one year, I can not recommend this product to anyone. Whirlpool please fix this problem.

I needed a ventless dryer and the Whirlpool surpassed my expectations. I like the moisture sensing feature. I can set it don't have to keep coming back to check on it. It's quiet as well. Very satisfied thus far.

Whirlpool Hybrid Care Lint 2nd stage never cleaned

by: SinghS

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

This dryer has a two-stage lint trap system and we are experiencing that lint gets into the interior of the dryer stopping it from functioning. Lint that makes its way to the interior parts of a dryer can’t be cleaned. Although whirlpool says that use of Home vaccum cleaner will work, but it didn’t.
